Description

• Necropsy Service (32 weeks): * 16 weeks of active necropsy floor service.
  • 16 weeks of dedicated readout and report finalization.
• Biopsy Service: 4 weeks of surgical pathology/biopsy service annually.
• Clinical Instruction: Provide hands-on training to 4th-year veterinary students during their necropsy rotations.
• Mentorship: Actively mentor pathology residents during their service rotations, fostering their diagnostic and professional growth.
• Academic Contribution: Prepare and deliver 1–2 gross image rounds and histopathology conferences per year for the department.

• Certification: Board certified or board eligible by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP).
• Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in anatomic pathology and a strong commitment to educational excellence.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively teach and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

• Optional activities include didactic and selectives teaching in the veterinary curriculum, and serving on resident mentoring committees.
