UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE – COLUMBIA
FACULTY POSITION – MEDICAL EDUCATOR (PATHOLOGY)
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, invites applications from individuals with training or experience in pathology and/or pathophysiology with a strong interest in medical education. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment on an educator-focused track. The successful candidate will teach pathology within the integrated, organ–system–based medical curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or demonstrated interest in developing and facilitating interactive and self-directed learning activities, including case-based, team-based, and small-group sessions. Additional responsibilities may include student mentoring, committee service, and participation in educational or scholarly activities. This position carries no patient care or clinical service responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Earned M.D., D.O., D.V.M., and/or Ph.D. from an accredited institution
Experience or demonstrated commitment to medical pathology education
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students
