The Department of Pathology at Mount Auburn Hospital (MAH), a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is seeking a full-time Pathologist. Mount Auburn Hospital serves a diverse mix of suburban and urban patients and is characterized by an exceptional and collegial working environment. The hospital is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians, and Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), one of the largest healthcare systems in Massachusetts.
Job responsibilities include providing diagnostic pathology services at Mount Auburn Hospital, with a focus on gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), Gynecologic (GYN), and breast pathology. The position involves interpretation of surgical pathology and cytology specimens as well as clinical laboratory coverage to support the care of patients across a range of medical and surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty expertise or strong interest in GI, GU, GYN, and/or breast pathology. A commitment to diagnostic excellence, collaboration, and teaching is essential, as the candidate will also contribute to the education of Harvard Medical School learners through both formal instruction and case-based learning, such as Tumor Board discussion.
The physician selected for this role may be eligible for a faculty appointment as Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
