Requirements
Role responsibilities:
Professional Practice Educator roles:
- These roles exist across our paediatric and adult placements.
- Placements are offered across school and community settings to support students in developing the core competencies required for speech pathology practice. Placement length and structure vary depending on students' year of study. PPEs play an important role in modelling, scaffolding, and guiding professional practice.
- ACU has an established network of valued placement sites that continue to support student learning. Opportunities are available across a range of locations throughout Melbourne, with the option to nominate a preferred school or setting that suits your needs.
- All PPE roles are supported, with training, guidance, and ongoing support provided to ensure a positive experience for both educators and students. Further details can be provided upon expression of interest.
Casual Marking Roles:
- These roles involve assessing student work and contributing to high-quality feedback that supports student learning and development.
You will need to have:
- Membership (or eligibility for membership) as a Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in clinical speech pathology practice (paediatric and/or adult settings).
- A genuine person-centred approach, with a focus on collaboration, and outcomes driven practice.
- Strong understanding of relevant frameworks, policies, and professional standards guiding speech pathology practice.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Applicants should demonstrate awareness of the University's Mission and Catholic ethos and demonstrate an understanding of how this role serves the Mission.
