Description

The Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine invites applications from PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent for a full-time appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be positioned to establish an innovative basic and/or translational research program centered on disease mechanisms.

The candidate is expected to maintain a vigorous externally funded research program that complements those of current faculty and builds on existing strengths. High priority research areas include: Geroscience, Epigenetics, Inflammation, Neurodegeneration, Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics.

The Pathology Department is strongly committed to hiring, mentoring and advocating for promotion of colleagues who will contribute to diversity, equity, inclusion and excellence in our community through their research and service.

Appointment to the faculty of the Yale School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences will be at a rank commensurate with accomplishments and experience.

Required Application documents include:

  • A summary of the candidate’s research accomplishments and future research program (3 pages max)
  • A description of the candidate’s understanding and experience in addressing the barriers facing disenfranchised groups in academica and future plans to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (1 page max)
  • A curriculum vitae
  • Three letters from referees who are familiar with their accomplishments and potential
