Position Summary:
Arkansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a 12-month, full time, non-tenure (teaching) track, Assistant Professor in Anatomic Pathology. This will be a predominantly teaching position (>75%), including teaching clinical year students in diagnostic pathology. This position will also include research/scholarly activities and service. Teaching of DVM students will be in a competency-based veterinary curriculum incorporating lecture, lab and small group learning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to competency-based curriculum development with a focus on anatomic pathology
Teach general and systemic pathology and diagnostic reasoning in the DVM curriculum in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings
Provide diagnostic service to the Arkansas Veterinary Diagnostic Lab in Little Rock
Collaborate in research endeavors
Contribute to college and university committees and/or serve on regional or national professional organizations
Mentor DVM students
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff Ability to communicate effectively across CVM stakeholders Ability to prioritize tasks, deliver results in a timely manner, and function independently
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

Board certification or eligibility in anatomic pathology (DACVP or equivalent)
