The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track assistant/associate professor beginning August 16, 2024.
We are seeking qualified candidates in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, particularly those with expertise in child language, school-based services, and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC).
We are seeking candidates who are highly qualified and motivated to teach three courses each semester in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The normal teaching load is nine credit hours per semester.
A successful candidate will be expected to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate students, be able to engage in scholarly research/ publishing regularly, and provide service to the department, college, university, and the profession.
A successful candidate will also be expected to pursue cross-functional, integrative curriculum development and incorporate a pedagogical approach to involve students in learning through high levels of engagement.

Requirements
1) Hold a terminal degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field; however, exceptional A.B.D. candidates will also be considered with an expected completion of their doctoral degree before May 15, 2025.
2) Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.
