About the Position
As the Associate Professor Speech Pathology, you will provide leadership and foster excellence in research, supervision and teaching in Speech Pathology within the Faculty of Health. Driving forward engagement and impact in research, teaching and community engagement in the development of Speech Pathology at Charles Darwin University you will be responsible for:
- Increasing the credibility and visibility of the CDU’s Speech Pathology program.
- Innovating and leading the development of Speech Pathology program(s) at CDU.
- Increasing relevant networks to ensure strong community engagement within the Northern Territory and nationally.
- Developing and leading an appropriate program of research in Speech Pathology.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- A PhD or Professional Doctorate in a related field and proven experience in a similar role with an established research profile in relevant discipline including evidence of research activity and outcomes, or significant leadership/clinical experience of similar nature Speech Pathology.
- An established research profile in relevant discipline including evidence of major original and innovative research activity and outcomes, such as publications, external grants or consultancies in the field at national and international level.
- Evidence of the ability to lead the scholarship of teaching and learning and promote and disseminate such activities within the Faculty of Health and more broadly with a demonstrated understanding of a university learning environment and equity programs and providing supportive education to people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and varying age groups.
- Demonstrated experience in leading innovative curriculum development, preparation and delivery of on-line education programs in speech pathology and related fields.
- Excellent professional teamwork with high level communication skills, including oral, written, information communication technology (ICT) and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to represent the university at a range of forums, and to liaise, communicate, negotiate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders and partners, to deliver a valued service and achieve agreed outcomes.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Research Active Academic Level D. The base salary will be in the range of $154,069 to $168,544 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $180,260 to $197,196 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
