Requirements (HARD STOPS)
✅ ASCP‑PA Certification – Required
✅ Minimum 3 years Pathologists Assistant experience
✅ Hospital clinical laboratory experience required
✅ Travel experience required
✅ Epic EMR experience required
Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Schedule: Day Shift – Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform gross examination and dissection of large, complex surgical specimens and small biopsies
- Prepare tissues for histological processing, including sectioning and specimen fixation
- Accurately perform specimen receipt, labeling, and handling
- Conduct tumor triage and obtain/review patient clinical information (labs, imaging, reports)
- Assist with adult and fetal autopsies, including evisceration and tissue sampling
- Document macroscopic descriptions of anatomic features clearly and accurately
